$12.00

An elegant and beautiful native, Leopard Lilies shows up in moist places and along stream banks in many plant communities. Easily growing to 4 ft. tall or more, the bulbs will multiply and the clump will slowly increase in width over time. The Turk’s cap style flowers bloom in summer and are orange with red tips and maroon spots. It dies back to the ground in winter. Prefers fertile, well drained soils but will tolerate clay. Where summers are cool you can plant it in full sun. Elsewhere plant in filtered sun, light shade or afternoon shade. Requires moderate summer water. The blooms are very popular with Swallowtail Butterflies. Deer love lilies so be sure they are protected.
