A beautiful variant on the species monkeyflower, this evergreen sub-shrub produces blooms from late summer to autumn in a rich shade of apricot-orange. It grows to 2′ x 2′, takes sun or part shade. Prefers a little more water than the regular monkeyflower, making it a good choice for a garden bed and a great plant for habitat gardens. Prune periodically to keep plant shapely. The sticky oblong foliage deters deer from eating it.
